What exactly is offset? and would rims with a 42 offset be okay on my car. The rims are 19 X 8.5.

Thanks

42mm will work. Stock offset is 45. Anything lower than 45 will be fine.

The higher the offset (in number), the more your wheels will be further tucked under the car..

If the body kit extends your car's width even the slightest, go with 35mm offset..

I have 35mm offset and my wheels stick out just to the lip of the fenderwell.. Perfect! My wheels are 18x8.5.

Yeah that is correct. The higher the # of offset the more its gonna tuck. Oh and sorry about being lazy( was half asleep )on the 1st post and not giving more info. Those #'s are more geared toward 19's specifically 19X8.5" wheels. 35mm would give it the most in flush with the fender look. 42 should work just fine though 2mm isnt a big diff and is not visible to the eye. 5mm might be though...
