Painted muffler... looks better IMO (pic's)
I wasn't even gonna post this. but a buddy of mine did this also (after seeing mine), and thought it made a nice difference on his Black Max.
I got a few scratches from being "bumped" by an 18-wheeler some months ago, and got the back bumper touched up. While I was at it, I told (Apollo paint & body) to paint the muffler black. I thought it stuck out a little too much. (Just my .02) He did it for free. Overall, I think it looks a little better especially if you have a dark Max. It's been at least 6 months and no peeling or fading. The pic's aren't the best in the world, but this is what it looks like... http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...74_30_full.jpg http://images.cardomain.com/member_i...74_29_full.jpg |

Tips
This is how it always should be.
My remus came like that (all black, with chrome tips).:D |
Looks good, I wonder what Greddy would look like painted black (well everything but the tip)
|
I like it, it would look cheap on my white car though IMO, but on yours it looks good

Did that over a year and a half ago...hated the look of dingy/crappy tips, especially the downturned AE ones that you can see even more of.
Used high gloss black engine spray and haven't had to do a thing since to touch up or repaint. |
Looks nice. Do you know what kind of paint was used?
