Since your a 2k3 you should be able to take thos vw's with no problem :)
|
Maxima wins, no problem.

I just cam eback from a drive...I drove......For sure, stock, not close. But, it does have a crap load of power between 1500rmp to 3500....after that, it dogs....Boosted, ofcourse...and it cheap....16psi...what number BAR is that?

nice....why sort of dyno #'s do they get? A buddy of mine with one dyno'd at 190fwhp, and 240fwt....he was a dog of a driver, and he was able to run a 14.5...his buddy a 14.4 with teh same mods....Anyone here any better with just that?
|
Yeah.. there was someone who ran a 14.2 stock with a 2k2 6spd. 14.4 is definatly attainable, still, you need to be a good driver though.

i went against a friend who just got a his 2000 1.8 jetta, I had to promise him I wouldnt use 2nd.....
I still beat him, but I didnt need to shift (kinda out of the whole fast on the street thing ;)) |

Originally posted by Sam03 I have an intake on my Maxima, and I did a little better than that time. |
Originally posted by blubyu2k2 slips? also what track conditions etc. The track is under sea level, the times are all indicative of that. The track has a very long history of quick times because of it, make note of the Gatornations reference, previous. The conditions: Early spring, track temps in the high 50's, humidity around 30%, high barometer readings. ..thats the quickest trap I have seen with just an intake:thumbsup: |
Originally posted by Sam03 Yes. Actually, in the singular tense as my times that day were anywhere from 14.1-14.3 dependent on how much heat soak I could avoid between runs. I believe the 1.8Ts are not considered a competition nor the VR6s...Jetta's are just slow period....unless boosted of course...

I own both. <-- homepage
The Max is the beast, and the best all around car to drive, but my 337 is fun as he11 to drive and it has tons of potential. Later this summer the 337 will get the chip, Intake, and boost controller, then we will see where it sits. If the wife dusts me then I will have to juice up the max and make sure the throne is maintained. :D |
