Let's play the diagnose my car game ^_^
Ok, I have a 2000 with about 90,000 miles on it. I've always had my scheduled services done, and had oil changes every 3000 miles excep 2 goof ups where I went to 4000. Approxmiately 2 months ago I was doing some city driving an when I stopped at a red light my car idled rough for a second, then lost rpm, then died completely. The following morning it did the same thing again, then again, and again, ... and then it did it again while i was making a right hand turn. Took it to the Nissan service shop here and they said I had a bad MAF sensor, they replaced it, the problem went away. Fast forward to a week ago, I started having the problem again. But before I went to take it into the shop again I got my oil changed, after I got my oil changed the problem went away and hasn't come back ... but obviously the oil change was only a temporary fix. I don't want to take it into the service dept. again, have them do some 400 dollar repair, and still get the same problem again ... I'm befuddled :(
