I can't answer your question but the search on the test site is working, http://test.maxima.org

Running HTR+ 235's on stock 17's. Only differences are that they're cheaper than the alternatives, look good when you look at the car from the rear, and they're better than the nitto's I had before.

I haven't had any problems and don't anticipate any. No bulge on the rims either. Since you can't search, just scroll throught the pages and do a text search (CTRL+F) for "235/45", "17", "stock", "rim", etc...not as efficient as the search function, there are a lot of posts on this.

I had the 235-45-ZR17 Nitto 555 on the car for about 20K miles before I switched to 235-40-18s. They fit the stock 17 inch rims w/o any problems. But keep in mind that the wheel gap will be a lot more if you're not lowered. Also, u'll definitely feel a difference in the ride too as the side walls are smaller than the Stock size. You'll feel the bumps a little bit more and I think you'll have little bit more road noise than before. Overall, I was happy with the with the size as the stock tires sucked. Hope this helps.

I am running Kumho Ecsta MX 235/45/17 on my stock 2K2 wheels and I have had no problem. The look better and bandle better as well.

louder, rougher, STICKIER. i've had that size since blowing two of my potenzas within a month of each other. the tradeoffs are worth it in my opinion altho i'll prolly go back to stock size with the new kumhos next time around. i'm on the yokos now and i love em. no problems.

I'm running 235/45/17's on stock rims & they're great. I bent my right front wheel w/the factory 225/50/17's 7 now I can't tell at all. it fills in the gap completely. Also, they look the same size as far as sidewall height.

I am with no problems.

Hey I am trying to decide between HTR+ and ContiExtremeContact. Both in 235/45R17 size.

How do you like HTR+ tires so far?

Running Falken Ziex 512's 235/45/17 on Stock 17's. COming from Blowtenzas ride is actually improved for me. They stick very well in rain or shine. I love 'em.

compared to the Nitto 450's that I had, they're a lot better. I much prefer them. They're great as far as dry grip. Since i'm still antsy from the 450's, i haven't pushed them in the rain yet, but they haven't slipped in what I've been through so far. Had them for about 2-3k miles and love them.

What about 235/50-17 on stock 17? Can I put 235/50-17 on stock 17 with no problem?

Now this is cool. Like BMW, wider tires in the back nmd narrower in the front.
I bet those 245 look nice and wide from the back.

It looks cool for sure but kinda useless where performance goes. Might even provide more drag than anything.

useless for a FWD application...the front wheels are what drive the car....to have wider tires in back when not used is :007:

RWD applications can only make use of this

MaxVitesse Aug 6, 2003 07:09 PM

I've got Yoko 235/45/17's on stock 2k 17 rims and they STICK. They are all-weather, little rougher but love the holding power.

maseo77 Aug 7, 2003 12:35 AM
