why does 2k2-2k3 dont have guages like 2k's?
 

I was just wondering why the 2k and 2k1 have white guages for the SE for all the guages, and in the 2k2-2k3's they have only the speedometer and rpm's and not the fuel and temp...

just doesnt look right for some reason

2k2/3 se actually have a titanium like finish behind the speedo and tach. Why there not behind the other guages, :gotme: . I like the finish better then the white backing. I wish i had SE guages.

i like better at night the 2k/2k1s SE....but in the day i love the 2k2/2k3 SEs

Me too. I miss the old black-on-white (daytime) and white-on-black look when you flipped the lights on. Matter of fact, the guages was the first thing I ever noticed about the Max back around '91.

Really? I miss the white gauges from my '95. Simple, cool looking, and easy to read.

The Max was like the first car to have them. Now every car manufacturer has come out with the white on black look. Even Dodges and Fords :goofy:

I just recieved from southwestautoworks.com the 2k3 reverse indiglow gauges and it looks soo nice!!

The 2k-2k1s have a titanium like finish too.. it's just not as titaniumish :D

I love the '00/'01 SE guages as compared to non-SE or '02/03 ones.

im not talking about wether it is white or titanium or not...

the 2k-1 have white guages in all 4 guages (speedomter, rpms, temp, fuel)
while the 2k2-k3 just have it in the rpms and speedometer, it just looks sorta weird....or maybe its just me

I think the 2000-2001 titanium gauges (all four) look much better than my 02 gauges (just 2). :(

Yeah I agree Nissan just did something else to differ the 2, I also miss/like the blue surrounding on the 00/01 gauges.

It sure was the first "production car to have them" a few racing cars had them befoe it, have you seen some of the other MFG's their's donot even transition from the white to black as it gets dark. Some stay white which is tacky looking to me? :)

I miss my '89 SE gauges with the black on white during the day and the white on black during the night. Sweet looking. But, my 2000SE's are pretty good, also. I like the red/blue at night.

Has anyone ever looked at the Mazda Speed's guages? I was checking one out and I thought I was in my own car...lol
