The car almost sounded like it have a roots blower from the tranny whinning for help. I doubt you would be able to hear what Im talking about over your turbo noise. so how do you know exactly you hit 9,000rpm? do you have another tach in your car?

I feel for you man. I did this on my previous car. $1100 in head work. After that it was much better though. It was an excuse to put in lighter valves, stronger springs, and mill the head.
If it comes to it then I suggest ivesting the cash. With the turbo it can only help. By the way, did you throw away the skid marked drawers or try to wash them after you heard the motor bounce? :grinno: On mine I floated 7 valves on two cyl. It was ugly. Nothing like driving home from the track listening to the car sputter at 20 MPH..... Either way you know the outcome, if you hear knockin it will only get worse until you get it fixed. |

Uh oh. Crap. If you start losing quite a bit of power and start using oil like a mofo, one of your main/rod bearings is spun.
