what is the VQ35DE's Compression

I was thinking about a custom turbo application but isnt the compression on our engines like really high. Cause High Compression + boost = Boom

compression is 10.3

Same as the 350z which is safely (for the most part) running boost with a variety of aftermarket applications.

the compression ratio is 10.3. that is very hi. It is higher than the 330i engine. That is why premium gas is a must.

10.3:1 is a cake walk. Try 13.5:1 :wall:

Well, the Greddy turbo 350Z is running a pretty conservative 5.6psi (resulting in 334whp), probably due to the VQ's high compression. My hunch (non-scientific) is that if you run less than 1/2 bar boost, you should be OK. just my $.02
