Ok, I've had a change of heart....

All that negative talk about torque steer that I posted earlier....Ah, I take it back. I'm glad my car has the balls to pull the wheel away. We all like performance here and luckily I don't drive a Camry or a Volvo. A single guy in his twenties should have a car with a little character and muscle. I'll focus on fun for now.

lol ok. thats true though the TS really isnt to bad it just shows us that our cars have some balz. im 18, and gatta impress the ladies with it :)

Benj-AMG Jan 6, 2004 10:32 PM

Yeah, I don't know why I was complaining about having a powerful car. Its just stupid. Besides... its good preparation for when I'm pushin an AMG :grinno:

You are forgiven. A high powered RWD car can have the rear end scoot
from side to side. An AWD car with a lot of power is kinda boring.

Come on playa, as a former volvo driver, I gotta take exception to this, and how dare you put it in the same context as a Camry....that's just harsh. Volvo has some pep. I think someone wrote up here a while ago about being surprised by a volvo on the highway. The S60R is a hoot to drive. If you drive a T5, I'm certain you'll be pleased. I'd be pushing a volvo now, but couldn't find a S70-T5 5-speed in my price range when I was looking. Far from AMG performance, but enough to give you a nice grin.

1984 Volvo 240 5-speed Turbo Wagon.....RIP

You're right, you're right. The R60 is very nice--300hp nice.

Benj-AMG Jan 7, 2004 02:28 PM

I mean S60R. Oops.

And it comes with AWD. I've heard that volvo all but eliminated turbo lag for the S60R....OT but have you all seen the commercial for Mercedes Benz E55 AMG with the beast in it? Good symbolism..i wish i could pull out of my driveway like that

Benj-AMG Jan 7, 2004 06:43 PM

If its made by MB and ends in 55 then I'll take it :king: But oh yeah... Torque steer is ok :grinno:

its nice, I drove one for a little while....my max feels more powerful, but the AWD and better handling is a plus, but not at the $38k price that they ask

I'd rather have a base model M3 than the CLK. More athletic. Plus the CLK is more of a chick car. Still a killer whip though.
