Extremes I've seen on mine are +113 in Topeka 3 years ago and -19 here, 2 years back.

Synki Jan 10, 2004 01:04 AM

Sure is freezing outside right now!

BCKNBLCK Jan 10, 2004 01:56 AM

Mine showed - 25 celsius this morning in Ottawa, Canada... .....which is about - 14 farenheit...

It felt like i was driving on wheels made of rock like the Flinstones car. I could barely hit the gas without spinning all over the place. The pavement was dry but very slippery.

GreekMaxima Jan 10, 2004 02:29 AM

I know what you mean. My car has felt like a rocket once it was warmed up enough.

JayMax2000 Jan 10, 2004 06:51 AM

10 degrees here in new jersey. Once I let the car idle and warm up for like 5 minutes, it drives amazing. It feels faster and more responsive.

Sounds like your MAF is blown, Dealer should replace under TSB.

I've never seen that light come on on my dash! Not a good thing to do
especially in winter to let fuel level drop that low. Though gasoline has no water in it, condensation in the tank WILL freeze. I rarely let it get below 1/2. But i guess my car does have low level indicator, never seen it though.

gtr_rider Jan 10, 2004 11:45 AM

You need gas... :shy:

03maximan Jan 10, 2004 02:52 PM

Glad somebody else caught that. In temps that cold you should definately keep a good amount of gas in the car. It prevents moisture and gas line freezing.

2k3blk6spd Jan 10, 2004 04:36 PM

My temp reading was at 4 degrees when I was coming home last night.

doublea Jan 10, 2004 05:16 PM

It was -23 celcius few minutes ago, so please stop complaning. He he he, it's good for health though.

Cheers

Mick Max Jan 10, 2004 06:24 PM

Chi town heat wave 28 and it feels warm.
Cold weather a 1/4 tank should be your low limit IMHO.
$1.77 for prem but this area always blows for fuel prices.

jatt806 Jan 11, 2004 07:54 PM

Last Sunday I was in Edmonton and it was -31 F and on Monday in Grand Forks, ND, it was -19 F. I felt sorry for my car.

FanaticMadMax Jan 11, 2004 08:10 PM

That is friggin freezing......as for gas, you better filler her up otherwise your gonna freeze your buns out.

Fezzik Jan 11, 2004 08:38 PM

someone needs to post pics of it being below 0 and one that shows 3 digit temps

Spartan5 Jan 11, 2004 08:56 PM

It's been single digits and teens here in Michigan since the new year, but considering where I moved from, I'm running around in a tee shirt and pullover. Back in Minnesota my max survived the extremes...one day the windchill reached nearly 100 below zero Fahrenheit and later that summer the temp reached 104 above zero Fahrenheit. Good ol' Maxima.
