Brake judder covered under warranty for 2002's? (Urgent! going to the dealer soon)

Brake judder covered under warranty for 2002's? Any one have any documentations? sorry for the 2 other posts... server problems.

I have no idea what you mean by break judder, but if your car is less than 3 years old, which it is, and under 36k miles, and this is not considered normal wear and tear, I don't think you'll have a prob having it repaired under warranty.

Good luck!

... and when am I supposed to discover this prob? I have almost 12k miles on my 02.

my rotars warped at about 20k. take it to the dealer. as it was explained to me: if you haven't had your rotars turned yet, they'll do it under warranty.

The TSB was extended to cover 2001s (NTB00-088a) but some 2002 owners are lucky.

I have almost 24k miles on my 02 and not a hint of brake problems. I do mostly highway driving though.

I went to the dealer and they charged me $250 for new front pads and resurfacing.... I'm just confused cause I thought the resurfacing is covered under warranty... Is it possible for me to get reimbursed by nissan by contacting them??

I am not sure you will be able to get money back on the pads. But you should be able to raise enough of a stink to get money back on the resurfacing. Like most Nissan dealerships (99.99999%)...they took you for a ride.

If they can get you to pay for it w/o issues...more money for them. Did you approve the 250+ fix? Did they call you with the quote of how much?

Had my rotors surfaced 2x before I ran out of warranty. Now I'm about to break powertrain on my 02.

Before approving the service I asked them if the rotors were covered and they said yes.... but when i went to pick up my car they charged me for everything!! I just emailed Nissan USA... hopefully something good will happen... I highly doubt it tho...

Hmmm, Not sure what you signed before you dropped the car off. When I do mine I always notate that no repairs are to be done w/o authorization. Did you sign something when you dropped it off saying they could do the work w/o any kind of authorization?

Read through the paperwork you signed and let us know. Sounds like they did work w/o authorization which means, I think, you should not be liable for it.

The best time to find out is at the dealership. Did you challenge the charge when they asked you to pay it? When they presented you with the bill, you should have told them that it is covered under the warranty.
