Rear seat won't fold down...latch won't let go?
 

Anybody have this happen before? If so, what did you do to fix it?

Of course my bumper-to-bumper ended 30-days ago and I'll have to pay $50/deductible on the extended.:mad::rolleyes:

I'd like to save myself $50, so please help~!

From the trunk, remove the lower back portion of the seatback. It's velcro'd on the seat. In the middle of the seatback, there is a cable that is attached to the locking mechanism. You should be able to pull it downward to release the lock.

I'm not sure if the '01 had locks on the seatbacks, but if it did, make sure it's not locked first (I assume that you have already done this if your seats lock).
