1. Make sure the parking brake cable is disconnected
2. Blast the piston with penetrating oil (PB Blaster, WD40, etc)
3. Using needle-nose pliers (or the special tool), very carefully turn it until it "breaks loose" (hopefully it will)
Maybe you can work it a little by pulling the lever which is normally operated by the parking brake cable... it should force the piston to move outward, try working that lever once to see if it loosens up.

I assume you're putting inward pressure on the piston as you turn it?
It does take a lot of turns to get it in...

yes, I am putting inward pressure on the piston... I will give it a try again...

Hey Max2000, I think I know your problem, on the rear caliper, there is a 5/8 or 3/4 inches bolt with a spring,( where the emergency brake hook up ) when you remove the spring and the bolts you can push the little metal arm back it will clik and stay there, it's like activating a valve inside the caliper which alowed the oil to go back and the piston should get in the caliper for the last 1/2 inches, how do I know I did my rear brake last week.

If you have questions e-mail me at: dblea@videotron.ca

Cheers

thank you all for the answers... I did manage to get the piston back in. What I did was turn on the car, fully depressed the brake padel, so the piston came all the way out. then I turn it, it went back in. Needless to say, I am reliefed... again, tahnks all for the quick answer.
