I'm lovin those headlights. I got a couple questions for you though. First How long did it take to install those. Second do you get alot of rattles in your car with that kicker setup in your trunk? Finally with your intake have you blown any MAF sensors yet?

Nice pictures! I too am running them without any parking lights....i think it looks 10x better. I gotta take better pictures too....camera just came in, hopefully have time this week to take some.

bob - I think I might just have to...

imxelite - I did not install them, the owner of umnitza did (maker of the DDE's). I guess if you take your time and be extra careful, it will take you ~3 hours. As for the Kicker setup, I do have some rattles. The metal in the rear deck (not the lid, but the actual metal deck) flexes pretty good and that causes most of the rattles. It isn't too bad, and will get better with more sound deadening (I have some ares to still cover). With the intake, I have not blown any MAF's *knocks on wood*

2k3 - They are different colors in different pics. I have no idea why.. thay are buish/white in person, but can be seen as white, blue or green on pics.

Manaz - I think so, too. I like how it's just the DDE's and the fogs, with nothing else taking away from the DDE's. Simple and clean, IMHO.

Looks great. I just finished up my headlights and I love the look of having the DDE's on with just the fogs and no running light. I was just wondering what you tapped into for the power. I have my fogs rewired right now and I was just gonna tap into the running light but I think Id rather wire it to a switch and have them be able to be on without the running lights. Thanks.

I have mine tapped to my tail lights, which is basically the same as having them tapped to my running lights, except the wiring was easier (no need for an extra wire). You would need to run a relay for if you want your DDE's to be exclusive in the electrical system.

Good idea. Ilya, I remember when you sdaid tyhis before and everyone thought it was crazy. they thought the DDEs would turn out whenever you brake.

I've got mine going to the running lights....i just took out the bulbs. So they come on whenever i have the runnig lights on. I've got the foglight rewire so they're independent.

Yet again, I have confused the fog re-wire with the DDE wiring. :tardsmash:

My DDE's are wired to my parking/running light wires, but I have the parking bulbs out. My fogs are wired to my tail lights, which, as far as I know, is better than having to wire them to your parking lights because you don't need to use an extention wire.

hey Ive got another question for u guys. When u opened ur headlights did you happen to get any of the glue on the front clear lens of the headlight. Ive got a couple spots of it on my front lens and this stuff is pretty serious. What can I use to get it off?

Lith - Great shots! Makes me want to get my cam back out and shoot a few more of my own. And I agree, they look great without the parking bulbs.

Thanks man.. I did those shots in some cold/windy conditions, and consequently got a 24 cold.. so they cost me.

if you have glue on your lens - by ALL MEANS DO NOT PUT 3M ADHESIVE REMOVER ON YOUR LENS!!!

It will "scour" the light. Badly.

I recommend something like simple rubbing alcohol and possibly something that will freeze that area to make the "goo" come off.

Not really sure, at this price point, we're selling out weekly.

I get stopped atleast twice each day of ppl asking me where I get my lights.

hehe im installing my headlights i just finished painting and clearing and installing the DDEs on either tues or wed next week and i cant wait for that first time out with the DDEs on :)

Does anyone know of a place in New jersey where I can get these Installed? I would do it myself but don't want to take the chance of screwing it all up. I have re wired my fogs to come on with my running lights without a problem. Is this much harder or around the same category? Any help is appreciated!!!!

Westbury NY, Kinda far for me to go unless its a one day job where I could sit and kill the day there. But I want these lights, my wife just saw pictures of the lights and loves them!!!!

:) We have an installer on the board between CT and NY, if that's closer?

We also have someone pretty competent to do it in PA.

BTW - it's a 3-4 hour job for someone else, so it's not hard.

Thanks alot, I believe I am going to get the kit then and possibly try it myself. if I think its to hard I will give Spencer a call and set up a day to drive up there and have it done. I am on the Jersey Shore near Belmar so I am not sure what would be the closest NY or PA!!

I LOVE MY DDE'S, definately get these...while i don't get stopped or asked, they're are a definate eye catcher. Plust the customer service is TOP NOTCH!!

Did you do it yourself and how easy or hard was it? How much did the kit cost you?

I have a guy in NJ that installed 3 or 4 kits already...tell me if you still need him.

Yes i did, and it was very easy. The only thing that you could consider "difficult" is properly opening and closing your headlights again.....but that's not hard at all. The components assemble together in one way only, so you can't mess it up. You can say they're plug-n-play. Rings attatch to black boxes, black boxes to to main black box. Main black box has negative, positive and wire that connects to the "on" switch. Can't get much simplier that that. :thumbsup:

yeah i agree. i thought it would be a much harder install that it was. the wiring is very basic and now that it's done i could have done it myself...oh well. the only part you really need an extra person for is opening up then resealing the headlights.

and even there, you can use your thighs as the soft "prop" if you are sitting "criss cross apple sauce" :D:D
