This may be kind of off topic, but how much have you max-heads heard about the new Impreza WRX's? I saw a commercial and it got me interested, it's saying 227Hp, 217ft./lbs., AWD. Then again, that's a Turbocharged 2.0L, so it may have some lag or whatever.

How do you think one of these would stack up against a max?
After you add the options to them (sport springs, STi exhaust, 17" wheels, other stuff) the price goes above $30k. Any thoughts?

I heard 0-60 in the mid 6 second range. It's one fast little puppy. It'll give the maximas a good run for the money. Don't race them in bad weather conditions.

On the straights, it will be a good race...probably boils down to the driver. On windy roads, the WRX will IMO win. But who knows until someone races one?

All I know is I wish I had one of them. Aftermarket is gonna be all over them.

WRX

I think its ugly, but it is one hell of a performer. You can find a good review of it in the April 2001 edition of Car and Driver (Pg.54). 0 to 60 in 5.8 stock WOW!
