Question about Tein S-tech's and Illumina's
First let me say that I researched this as much as I can...without being able to search the org.
Many thanks to Housecor's very informative site. http://www.innerbean.com/housecor/sp..._decision.html I currently have a set of Eibachs that I purchased some time ago and Illumina's, FSTB and RSB which I recently purchased from the great folks at custommaxima.com. I'm having regrets about the Eibach's due to the rough ride I've been hearing about. I bought them originally because I thought that the conservative drop would yield a softer ride. Can I get a better and lower ride from the Tein S-tech's? I'm also running 19" Motegi Racing F55's with Toyo Proxes 4's. Will this drop (Tein) create problems for me in snow and bad weather? The suspension install date is quickly arriving and I want to make sure I only do this once. Thanks for the help. Bill |

Bill I think most of the ppl who complain about eibachs being harsh are using them with struts that are too soft (mainly stock). I wanted a conservative drop and good ride quality, which is why I went with eibachs. From what I understand, H&Rs are slightly better in terms of comfort. S-techs are very low and stiff and dont use a progressive spring rate like eibachs. You will definately get a lower ride with teins, but I dont think it will be more comfortable at all. You also have very little wheel travel with s-tech. IMO, if you want looks go tein, if you want performance and comfort, go eibach. Just my .02 |
