murano windshield washer nozzle's

do they fit on the maximas?

SoonerFan May 22, 2004 06:15 AM

go buy some, try them out, and let us all know.

panda_1 Jun 2, 2004 10:34 PM

ok, i recievde mine today and put them on. the do fit but they require a little modifying. you must shave two square pieces on one of the sides of each nozzle, they then fit perfectly into the old nozzle holes but require a little adjusting depending on where you want them to spray.

KLOOGY Jun 2, 2004 10:48 PM

Just curious, why you want these.....I dont even have any .

panda_1 Jun 2, 2004 10:53 PM

instead of spraying two lines of fluid they spray across the entire windshield, and they spray higher than the stocks, so the fluid rolls down across the entire glass.

KLOOGY Jun 2, 2004 11:01 PM

It never rains here......so its useless in So Cal.....

panda_1 Jun 2, 2004 11:06 PM

lol, wish it was like that here in miami

instead of two puny little water jets, its sprays the water like........ you would put your finger over a hose causing it to come out with more pressure. (cant think of any better way to explain it).

It sprays the fluid like a fanned mist. My wifes Focus does this and it does a much better job at distributing the fluid.

Might have to do this on mine. During the winter with all the salt  I constantly clean my windows.

search 30585

ToYLeT902 Jun 3, 2004 07:14 AM

how much did you pay for the nozzles? Nissan wanted 19.99 PER nozzle for stock maxima nozzles... wtf?

panda_1 Jun 3, 2004 07:19 AM

they do the fanned mist thing, but they have really good pressure.

panda_1 Jun 3, 2004 07:27 AM

im uploading images now. give it like 5 min and look.

panda_1 Jun 3, 2004 07:36 AM

ok there up, feel free to ask questions on waht to cut. and the nozzle's were 18 shipped from jerry rome nissan part numbers 28930-ca000 they are both the same.

ajahearn Jun 3, 2004 09:28 AM

I'm curious about how long it took to install? Was it hard to get the old ones out? Can you still put the old ones back if the new ones don't work out? I'd also like to see the pictures.

RAZORFISH228 Jun 3, 2004 02:40 PM

Don't Bother. I have them on my Maxima 03 and hate them. Yes they spray better but they look like sh///t and you have to be careful when modifying them with a Dremel.

I am in the process of trying to buy back OEM ones to put them back on my car.

panda_1 Jun 3, 2004 02:53 PM

i didnt use a dremel, i used a scalpel i took from work, the only difference between them and the stocks is that they are more square and shorter, other than that they are the same. you have to position them to spra whereever you want. i bought them from jerry rome nissan's online catalog.

http://www.nissandealer.com/jerry-ro...ts_catalog.cgi

part number is up top.

I wouls say I would swap you with mine, but I like to keep all of the stock parts I swap out. Dont ask...I guess I just cant get rid of anything

The stock ones are adjustable, you could have aimed them higher if you wanted.

IceY2K1 Jun 4, 2004 06:24 AM

:sprint:

I'm a "pack rat" too...lol.

But the point is that you ONLY get two little pi$$ ant streams from each nozzle with the stock ones, where the Murano nozzles let loose a fan shaped medium velocity spread that covers the ENTIRE winshield. The Murano nozzles are superior in their cleansing ability... :D

all i can say is that i have had mine on for approx. 2 weeks, i use them just about everyday, and am glad i spent the 18 bucks and the 30 min modifying/install time on them.

UMD_MaxSE Jun 7, 2004 11:39 AM

my friend's 2k1 Pathfinder has these nozzles as well... much better than our stock nozzles.

panda_1 Jun 7, 2004 11:46 AM

see... its like a 10 to 1 favor for them. i think all maxima drivers should get them, because im a col guy n sccchhhtttuuffff.

Quicksilver Jun 7, 2004 12:17 PM

I like adapting stuff from one vehicle to another (in the same Manufacturer brand). I've found literally hundreds of mods over the years by doing this. Keep up the good work! This is definitely a great/simple/cheap/effective mod...

irish44j Jun 7, 2004 01:10 PM

nice find! I tried to swap in the sprayers from my wife's new Mazda 3 (which also spray a fan pattern) but they would not fit correctly (that, and the mazda dealer didn't have any to sell anyhow). I'll definitely have to get the murano ones, I did this "mod" on my old Honda Accord (with GM nozzles!) and it was a vast improvement....

Mick Max Jun 7, 2004 01:46 PM

Got a Murano 2 weeks ago and the ww nozzles are great.
Want to put them on my max also.

IceY2K1 Jun 7, 2004 02:10 PM

Can someone post a side by side or even better, before/after pics?

irish44j Jun 7, 2004 03:03 PM

Here's a pic form 30585's cardomain site...not sure why he didn't post it here unless he's just trying to get hits on his site :)

Is that part of the hole I see infront of the nossle?

irish44j Jun 7, 2004 04:49 PM

I was wondering the same thing. I may have to go by the dealer tomorrow and pick one up just to test. Mabye 30585 didn't adjust it right.....

always and forever.

panda_1 Jun 7, 2004 07:52 PM

actually its a piece of the rubber from the old nozzles, that showed throught. wasnt done installing them, they were just quick pix.

E55AMG2 Jun 7, 2004 07:55 PM

I swiped the ones off of our murano, and tried to install them, heres what I found.

The nozzles are too small, and the "hole" you see is actually there. Not to mention you will have to buff out the hood to get rid of those ugly rings from leftover crap. I say, just aim the stock nozzles properly, use rainX (and the rainX washer fluid), and nothing will stick to the windshield. Also, remember to use Micro edge excel blades.

IceY2K1 Jun 7, 2004 08:04 PM

Only PIAA blades for me.
