Hi, I want to switch HID in my 2k2 max into regular 2k1. Can I just replace them or do I need to rewire? If so where to buy the wires?
I'm simply tired of repairing my Max after HID thefts.

Where and how many times did ya get hit? Did you have the data dots recall done? Yes you can replace them but you need to rewire. Many people have done it so hopefully they will chime in soon to help you out.

No, man. I'm not selling mine. I don't know how are things going in FL but here in NJ it's horrible. Mine HID's got stolen 4th time now. Having regulars u might save yourself some money, time and health. I love this car, don't want to sell it so i guess for me the only way to keep it is to change headlights. I know that people do change them so I hope someone will share experience.

I have never heard of anyone stealing them here where I live. I have friends that have never had theirs touched and they go into the bigger cities a lot.

the prob is mainly in the miami area. hopefully it won't spread. sethwas did the conversion- not sure if he got all the lights to work.

Anyone have a set of HID's they are selling? My 2000 headlights are turning yellow.

in the nearby town one lady got robbed when she stopped on the red.
15 sec, 2 guys with screwdrivers.... gone...

u can call (512) 444-4962, they have them for $588 ea. (not bad comparing to dealers's $760) but u gonna need to rewire your car, set of wires about $1200.

If I was that lady I would just hit the gas and run them the hell over.I changed my lights to 2k1 but it was done at the body shop.

Mine is now at the body shop. Did u have to rewire or just changed lights? How much did it cost?

Here's a thing, how about halo projection headlights,aftermarket with stock bulbs, do they get taken as well as hid's ... and as far as nj, yah its a pile of poop there... just napam the place lol ... anyway if your putting in 2k1 lights, sell me the hid's i have 2k2 with no bulbs and ballats, im installing aftermarket projection lights... another question if u have the DOTS recall done does that help the lights from being stolen?
