clutch kit.

anyone know how hard or how long it takes to put in a new clutch kit on a 5th gen. i.e do you have to drop the motor to get the tranny out? or can you access the plates relatively easy. i have done this on hondas not any nissans.

Depends on how fast you work. No, you dont have to drop the motor, you dont even have to touch the motor. It's pretty straight forward

Unless you have a lift be prepared for a lot of unconfortable work. doing it in jack stands will be a pain. You do not need to touch the motor but be prepared for the fun of removing both axles, crossmember, exhaust and a 100+ lbs transmission......Good Luck.

yeah i couldn't imagine doing it without a lift.

i didn't have to take out the exhaust though, just the axles and the tranny

its a piece of cake if you have a lift

i paid my nissan tech 300 canadian to do it.

no flywheel, just clutch

nissan told me $850 IF i didn't need a new flywheel. a tranny shop told me $500. both were OEM parts, and NOT key value.
