RPM's sometimes slow to rise after ~3k

Occasionally when I step on the gas the RPM's get up to about ~3000 really fast, then is starts to rise slowly after ~3000(other times the tack jumps up to 6000k no prob). It still has decent exceleration but not as much as it should have. Also at stop lights it seams to run a little rough sometimes, is this just a 3.5vq thing, I know its not as smooth as the 3.0vq. So could this be the MAF , Coils or would a throttle body cleaning help? Would the lack of power TSB fix this (im over 36k so I would do it my self)?

Sounds like a maf to me. I would hook a computer up to it and scan it while it has the problem to make sure.

If your auto sometimes you give it gas but not hard enough for it to kick down a gear so it wont accelerate as quick?
