If you've attempted to open your rear tail lights...

If you've attempted to open your rear tail lights, please post the method(s) that you tried (oven, heat gun, etc). I just want to know the methods that you tried, and what was the result? I DO NOT WANT TO HEAR THAT IT CAN'T BE DONE! Basically speaking, there IS a way to open them correctly, but IIRC, we haven't found it out yet.

Also, if anyone knows the manufacturer of the OEM or aftermarket lenses or housings, post that up as well.

Tried to heat gun them... didnt work, I found a taillight from a 2k2 with a cracked corner, seemed like it was plasticglued together. Not really sure what to do except cut them with a hot knife. or saw them open.

I never tried opening them but I think the tails are made by ICHIKOH, which was used in the previous gens.

After looking at the tails, I think it's made by KOITO.

You have to dremmel the plastic around the housing to take the clear plastic off the backing.....it has been done...not by me.

WHILE YOU ARE IN THIS THREAD: did you dyno that intake manifold from the 6th gen?
