Information Request - Projector D2S Native Headlights W/ DDE

We are in negotiations with our contract manufacturer to produce complete D2S replacements complete with projector, DDE Lightning, and Xenon 5000K or 6000K bulbs.

For roughly $600-700 full replacements.

They will look similar to this:

Thoughts?

Please make the housing out a light metal perhaps aluminum lined with plastic, to prevent them from being stolen, if possible. That would be very nice...

That would be off the hook. I'd jump on it right away. But is it going to be that price with a trade in of the stock lights.

because these are going to be high quality lights that im sure will look amazing (currently i like the 2k2/3 lights better then the ebay ones.) plus to retrofit them with the D2S bulbs im sure will cost a lot. So if umnitza makes a great product, i think it will be a great alternative for the 2k/1 guys and a great mod for the 2k2/3 guys with the extra cash

just my $0.02

$700 is a random figure. It's exactly in the middle of the cost of lights that we currently sell.

It could cost $400-500 or $700, better to give you a higher cost amount

I love the idea! Even though I just recently purchased the DDE's by themselves...

Just makes sure that these lights fit specifically for whichever model you intend to make them for. The eBay ones aren't made specifically for an 02'-03' model, even though it will fit. It’s not like a glove. It’s like a dude w/ a sixth finger trying to put on a five finger glove. He can cram that extra finger into whichever finger hole, but it won't look right.

Also, I don't care for the look of the anniversary lights compared to the ones normally found on an 02' and 03' the reason I say this is because the pic you posted above remained me of the anniversaries... I posted both pics below for comparison...

Unless I see an actual prototype, it's hard to imagine what you plan to produce... check out the pic below...

Maybe, my fist question should be, what year model are you planning on targeting, cause if it's not going to be an 02' or 03' I’ll just leave my .000002 cents at that... for now, I’ll let this be until I see something more concrete...

BTW, again, I’m not bashing, or flaming... I love your idea! I wish someone (you guys even) would've came out w/ this earlier! You guys are smart creative peeps, I’m sure it's going to look awesome in the end anyhow! In which case, I WILL be standing in line for this great product...

Ooooh this would be awesome if it was made as total replacement. It wasn't too clear from umnitza's post if it would be total headlight replacement or something you would replace from 2k2-2k3 housing.

Since 2k2-2k3 housings CAN be fitted to 2k-2k1's it would be okay to shoot for 2k2-2k3 fitment assuming this is indeed complete replacement

~$600 would be about perfect.

Hey I don't see the big deal with you guys. I mean you could sell your hids on ebay like the rest of the thiefs and pay the difference for the new ones.

Great idea...well worth the money if you guys do it right. Make them look classy not like Civic rice crap. Where would you source the projectors from? We could use our ballast and buy bulbs...how about you just make the housing and we can take it from there.

I think he would still need to produce as complete kit for 2k and 2k1 folks. As you know 2k -2k1s didn't come with HIDs

Wow this would be great! A couple things that I would like to see is, that they are made to fit the 2k2 and 2k3 perfectly and that the housings also come in black. Also what projectors will you use? Hella, Valeo, etc? I bought the ebay ones and retroed in Valeos but the housings were cheap and didnt fit right so I took them out. Lets make these a great alternative so i can have my projectors back.

I just dont want to get it, even if completed. That would render my 2K2 HIDs obsolete Thats a high price tag for something thats useless
Damn noobs get all the lucky breaks... baahhhh

I would possibly be interested in these if they turn out to be a quality part and actually improve on the lighting capabilities of the lights.

Keep us informed!
