Here's the story, I shipped my max from Hawaii to Seattle and tried to take it in for service under warranty. They said that my VIN is not registered in the United States and I needed to call Nissan's 1-800 #. I called and they said they'll take care of it. Well, its been over a month now and I am at 11,000 miles. I kinda wanna get in before my alignment warranty runs out. If any of you have any suggestions let me know.

I'm in Seattle.
Let me know if you need help. Which dealer? Probably the numnuts at Pacific Nissan downtown? Call the 1800-Nissan-1 # and explain your situation. I mean what could be the problem? You must have a counterfeit Maxima! Originally posted by CIRCO Here's the story, I shipped my max from Hawaii to Seattle and tried to take it in for service under warranty. Melody's Nissan in Bellevue has been great for me. They replaced my transmission and I bought the car in Dallas.

How is your VIN number not going to be registered in the U.S. if Hawaii is a state????

My first thought was that Nissan was dumping Maximas into the rental market in Hawaii much like GM dumps mid-size Oldsmobiles and Buicks on the rental car companies in the lower 48. I do not know if there is any relevance here - just an observation. |
Yeah I know that the rental car companies in Hawaii use them, I used to pass the lot everyday going to work in the summer. I was also in Los Angeles on vacation last summer and saw that they use them there as rentals too.
Hey CIRCO, where did you buy your max from? If it's New City, then I can help you take care of it. |
