wind noise at rear glass area -- did TSB fix and it's worse!

greetings,

my 2001 i30 has that infamous wind noise at the rear glass area which I just had my dealer perform TSB on it... and on my way home, the wind noise is worse. ahh not a big deal but it sure is annoying. I just booked another appointment with the dealer that now wants to have the car for a whole day. good thing they have loaner policy.

did anybody have their wind noise at the rear door checked? how did it turn out? thanks.

I have the same problem with my 02 SE. I took the car into Downtown Nissan in Toronto when I bought the car used 8 months ago. They siad it was the sunroof and that it needed adjustment. All that did was make the rear passenger door wind noise seem worse. I returned the car and they had two mechanics with a sound meter drive the car. They came back and said they could not detect any leaks or wind noise. I've driven cars for 30 years and I've never had such a problem. I've given up trying to find a solution and sympathize with you. Love to hear if you do find a fix. You're in Toronto too, maybe its a TO thing? By the way, I'm new here, what is a "TSB"?

I had the same issue w/my car when I brought it to the dealer to perform the windnoise TSB. It took them 3-times and still the results weren't satisfactory. I do not think the Techinician who assigned to do the work knew how to follow proper procedures. Anyway, I ended up doing it myself by buying some 3M foam tapes and sandwiched it between the frame of the windows and the weather rubber strips. I believe a member here has a how-to-do site for this, Houscor? Basically, you might as well do it yourself instead of wasting your time coming to the dealer. It's really easy and will probably takes a good 10-15 mins of your own time.
