I'm the newest 5th gen Owner

Just got a 2000 SE silver ( i guess... not sure if it's grey or what)... with every option i believe. Sunroof, heated seats, Traction control, leather, bose and not sure what else i'm missing that is important. But yeah I bought it for 9,900 + tax and tags.. the only thing i don't like bout is that it has 84k miles on it....

Now after winter I begin modding it! :woot:

NICE! :gapteeth:

anything a 5th gen noob should know bout the 2000 max?

Ammi Nov 4, 2004 08:51 PM

Very nice.

Keep your eyes out for warped rotors and bad coils

Nice car Ammi, you have any more pics besides your website. I think my color is the same as yours (sterling mist?). Nice max, couldn't find too many sterling mist that are exteriorly modded. Thinking bout some kind of Back bumper with the stillen lip and sides... new projector headlights... front clear corners... lowering springs/struts... some 19 wheels.. and I think I'm set in the cosmetic department!

Post more of ur pics!

Thanx!

Seems like a good deal to me... welcome to the 5th gen forums... although, I'm not sure about your projector headlight project though.... heard some bad things about em...

Care to share some details here? I'm curious to know....

GBAUER Nov 5, 2004 09:57 AM

I've never seen my light (hopefully the bulb isn't burnt :)) and I have 96k on my '03 now. Honestly, Nissan makes a good car, it just doesn't know how to paint 'em!

dmplus Nov 5, 2004 12:31 PM

Sounds like the same car as my 2k except yours is silver. Only way to get a maxima is loaded (no offense to the gxe dudes :-) )
Good price too.

Read through the threads, you'll see (too many to list). There are alot of problems associated with the SES light being on, its common. Some more serious then others.

I have an 02, so I don't really care what they are... just thought it'd help this guy more if you gave him more info as opposed to just saying that his SES light will come on a lot (which may or may not be true since not every car is the same). Like Ammi said, some SES lights will come on more than others.
