I purchased PIAA plasmas from Urban Jungle for aprox. $80.00 US, the lamps worked fine for about three months (5700 miles) then one burned out. I tried to contact them via phone several times leaving my phone number and reason for calling, no returned call. I then e-mailed them about it twice before I received a response. They offered to replace the offending bulb and did; the problem is that a week after the new bulb arrived the other (old) bulb went TU! I have e-mailed them four times about this and have not received any reply other than their auto generated response that I would receive a reply within 24 hours. Buyer beware, I’m sure PIAA bulbs are fine products, I’m sure I could have received a bad lot, that's no excuse for Urban Jungle to abandon me on this issue. They implied that having the headlamps set to on or auto could cause voltage surges causing the outages (bull$hit).

 

Why don't you contact www.piaa.com and use them. As long as you have proof of purchase (within 90 days, sometimes longer) and send them Post Paid, they will repair/replace to keep customers happy. Should also buy from www.autobulbdepot.com as the price Urban charged is full retail !!!!

 

Hmmm. I purchased my bulbs from Urban Jungle, and I subsequently put them on our parts list (see sticky thread).

I had no troubles with them. I telephoned on two occasions, placing an order on the second, and they answered promptly. Perhaps it was because of the time zone difference, with me on the East coast and they on the West, that I was all over the phone around my lunch time, anxious, and they were just getting started.

Not to knock them but you're lucky to get it replaced. No place in Hawaii will replace bulbs. They consider everybody a dummy and possibly that the customer gotten the bulb dirty before installation. They all will tell you to take it to the manufacturer. My PIAAs has lasted me for over a year, but my set before that lasted about 7 months.

 

At last received a reply from Urban Jungle requesting I contact PIAA, fair enough, just answer your e-mail or phone messages. The good news was I called the supplied number and spoke to a very kind fellow named Jason that offered me the choice of two new Super Whites, or a replacement Plasma, great customer service! And they warranty them a year.

He he, does anyone know where I can get bulbs that change color automatically every 5 seconds or so. Like bright white to yellow, blue, green etc. That would be cool!
Oh and by the way for some reason my Maxima is kicking up pixie dust into my gas tank instead of sand. Is this a bad thing?

 

My Piaa plasmas only lasted 14 months. I will not waste any more money on them. However I have ordered the dual Bellof hid kit for my car and waiting anxiously.

 

Wow I hope youre not paying th srp price ($1900) for that. I got my set for a little over $500

 

Send them Post Paid to PIAA and they will replace. Include postage for mailing back to you. They won't argue and you could sell new set on Ebay and recoup some dollars. I've had Platnium PIAAS for same period and no damage. Good luck with HID upgrade......

 

I was just curious, under ideal conditions no extreme cold or extreme heat, how long are set of h4 bulbs supposed to last?

I don't know about the PIAAs but most bulbs last about a year or two at least.
