I was checking prices for bulb upgrades and they are around 650 each bulb! Are there any other upgrades available for a lot less?

You are obviously looking at Xeon HID upgrades. The headlight bulbs I put in....Raybrig White Thunder's were about $80/pair. There are many that cost less than that.

Real HID upgrades require a conversion kit which includes an device to ignite the lamp since the Xeon gas requires something on the scale of 20,000V to light, while only 12V to burn after lighting.

Yeah, the PIAA Super whites will give you somewhat of a HID look for about 89.99 from Stillen.

Phillips makes a plug-n-play HID conversion kit for around $500. Not sure how they look though.

I got my PIAA Super Whites for like $65ish a pair, so look around if your paying $80+. PIAA Super Whites are PIAA Super Whites, so unless you like throwing Stillen MORE money than he already gouges us for, you can order them from Urban Jungle or Carparts Plus for less.

If you want more of a purple/pink HID look get the PIAA Super Plasmas, but if you want a BRIGHTER whiter light get the Super Whites.
