E-Brake adjustment Q's
There is a couple inches of play in my e-brake handle before you feel any tension. Is this normal? Is there a cable adjustment to take the slack out of it? If so, is it at the handle or under the car or at the rear wheels....?
Thanks ... |
yes, there is an adjustment. it is at the handle, if you pull it all the way up, you will see a hole in the fron of it. look through that hole, and you will see a nut. tighten that nut, and there you go. also, becarefull not to tighten it too much, or you will dammage the cable, and you do not want to replace that. $$$$$.
also, yout issue could be due to your rear pads need replacing. just a heads up. |
put car in reverse, start backing up, get going a decent speed and stop the car with the e brake... this readjust the e brake. :p
