Tein S-Tech's and G35C's
Ever since I put on my G35C's I've had some rubbing issues in the back. So, I picked up a set of tires (235/40/18) from a friend of mine, and had them mounted up today. Then I slapped them on and went for a drive. So far, so :D good! I went on some familiar roads that I would've bottomed out on, and it was alllllllllll gooooooood! No more rubbing issues. I think the Tein S-Tech and G35C combo looks very NICE! :woot:

Here's a couple of pics for now. This is with the 245/45/18 Michellin Pilots in the back. I'm going to go outside and take a couple of pics with the 235/40/18's. (Just don't tell my boss that I'm f--king around outside taking pictures.) The wheel gap got a bit larger, but at least it doesn't rub, and at least it doesn't look like I'm riding on balloons! |
Okay, I'm back. I took a couple more shots with the new tires.....well actually they're used, but who the hell cares. The look is much better with the smaller profile tires, and not to mention the feel. So Tein S-Tech owners have nothing to fear if running these wheels.

they're only 18s.... i didnt think theyd rub at all unless its got some funny offset

Maybe, the Y-pipe.......but only if the service gets better! LOL, Just kidding. I think my next mod is going to be to finish up my suspension and get some Illuminas. But, luckily, that's coming from my other half! But after that, definately the Y! Thanks for the compliments...........oh and I'm impressed with your knowledge of the local lingo!

Yeah, 245/45+30 offset+Tein S-Tech drop=headache!
|
and 4pot calipers clear g35's correct? there's even some 19's that dont clear
|
I would imagine that it would depend more on the style and offset, than diameter. Is that correct, or would that have nothing to do with it. I know that certain size rotors won't clear certain wheels, depending on diameter.
