New Fog's with city lights from Wal-Mart $39.99

Let me know what you think.
Fits great, just needed longer bolts in stock housing.

Just city lights

There used to be a lot of people here that used to be into the city light thing about 8-9 yrs ago. Quite illegal in Hawaii..........at least that color is. Be careful, you don't want to get a ticket for impersonating a police officer.

I don't think they look bad at all, but the blue tint could get you in trouble in some states (I understand that they're white when they're on full). Even if they don't exactly fit everybody's taste, they are a lot better than the weird stock fog lights on my 2k3 SE. Honestly, who puts regular yellowish lights under bright white headlamps? Nissan does... those weirdos...

Usually, I'd be the first to point out rice, but if they fit, I'll give it a shot. Mr. Reims: I guess you haven't had to replace yours four times now like I have, have you? If I can get them in plain-jane white, I'll buy.

After looking at your Max, I see you got the eyelids from EBay...I have the same set and the Street Scenes griles as you...lol

Nah, I have not had yet to replace them (*knocks on wood*)

To each his own, but it is not to my taste.

Uhh, I replaced my stock fogs with PIAA Crystal Ion's to get the yellow light. Yellow light is better in the rain and fog.

By "yellow," I don't really mean yellow. I just don't know how to describe the unpure, not-quite-white of the stock fogs. If you went with fog lights that were even more yellow than the stock lights for visibility reasons, that's your choice. I actually think that would look cool, because it would be obvious that you MEANT for your fogs to be yellow. I just don't like how the stock lights look, because they aren't exactly meant to be colored. They're just plain bulbs that most people would consider uncolored light, but they look somehow unpure compared to the headlights, which are actually closer to white than the stock fogs.

You obviously weren't looking at mine. Stealth is my style

Ammi Feb 3, 2005 05:09 PM

I just don't like that blue lens. Lighting looks good though

rule da road Feb 3, 2005 05:18 PM

Dem is really hot and i'd normallyl be the first to talk about someone shoppin at walmart. But i would certainly rock em. Matter of fact...
see me in a few weeks - i want some square fogs to fit my kit - do they make em?

That street scenes grill still on ebay? I've really been lookin like its a rarity.

rule da road Feb 3, 2005 05:20 PM

Just as important, hows the output to the road with them? How well they light up the road?

Its not really the color that matters in rain and fog.... its the beam height and shape.... yellow MIGHT help in the snow because of the contrasting color...

I did some reasearch on this a while back and here are 2 articles...

One more for how to adjust beam height...

Btw, I have the same PIAA fogs as you... :)

Puppetmaster Feb 3, 2005 08:48 PM

Btw Dongfun... nice job on the lights... they look good for being from Walmart... :)

I like your car overall though...

haha, if i had them i would be rubbing it in too! They look HOT

Slow Moe Feb 4, 2005 01:26 AM

They looks good and if they fit well who can complain, I am going to try some aftermarket fogs also probibly not so blue though.

I just wish they made yellow HIDS. I actually found a 3000k HID kit which produces yellow light but they didn't have an H3 application. Oh well....

spring02 Feb 4, 2005 07:47 AM

So, these Wal-mart fogs only come with that blue tint? Anyone seen clear fogs from them? Also, any opinions on if they fit into a 2k2 fog hole or not?

Eenis Feb 4, 2005 10:02 AM

Bigdo bought some driving lights from wal-mart and they look pretty good. $30 too.

Can these be adjusted to point down? I had a set in my '01 Durango(Blazertech 3200 driving lights) that looks like these and does throw a good pattern down road since those were functional and not like our fogs for looks. Thanks, Ed.

rbneron Feb 4, 2005 05:46 PM

I think they look OK, but I like the look of the Hella's better. They fill out the bumper better (my opinion). Can tell you that they're a #)($* to put in, though; you have to do attach them first to a mounting block, then attach the block from the rear (removing the fender lining first).

With the 2002 / 2003, the opening is larger, so you might be able to install them from the front.

They'll fit. But you'll have to deal w/abt a 0.5" gap all the way around.

I had BT 3200s on my Max and the beam pattern was excellent for 55W lamps. I have PIAA 110W lamps now, too bright to possibly use at night b/c they are aimed so poorly. I never use them, should've just spent the $$ on putting HIDs in the stockers :| .

bobby.cim Feb 4, 2005 08:59 PM

I'm interested in getting them cause i'm strapped for cash. They don't look bad except for the bluish tint, is the lens tinted or is it from the bulb?

Anyways I have a gxe which didn't come with fogs and I was wondering if anyone knew if there is a how to for installing foglights onto my car. Do i need to buy anything in addition to the foglights?

I checked the how to section but no luck.

Maxi113 Feb 5, 2005 12:57 AM

Eh they're ok, what's the point of the blue tint, it just to make them look blue, but they really light up white? Seems pointless..

ZIPPIN Feb 5, 2005 03:08 PM

did you paint the ss grill gun-metal?

nissan5788 Feb 5, 2005 04:33 PM

The blue helps to make the light emitted whiter.

QMaxed03 Feb 5, 2005 05:40 PM

i think they look Hot id def get them

Maxi113 Feb 6, 2005 01:31 AM

Oh then why aren't all fog lights blue tinted? :P

Because it's illegal in some states to have any lights or lenses on your vehicle that are the color of emergency vehicle lights (other than your normal brake and rear lights which are red).
