I35's with electric rear sunshade...step in..

If anyone out there has one of these, could you do me a favor and post a few close-up photos from above it, and from inside the trunk. I'm toying with the idea of putting one in the maxima if I can make it fit....just interested to see how large it it.....thanks in advance

Here you go, I was thinking about it too when I saw one on my car lot. I lost interest when I called Infiniti and found out it would be around $1,000 for the rear panel and the shade. That was at cost also. I may still look for the parts used but they would probobly still be high.

I don't have pictures from inside the trunk but it looks just like a Maxima. The I35 and I30 look the same if I remember correctly. I looked at several cars (Max and Infiniti) next to each other and it looks like a direct swap between any of them. Getting the parts is the only challenge I see.

It looks almost flush in the car. Most people wouldn't even notice it was there. You would never see it with tinted windows.

Sorry about the size of the images. I took them while planning the project and never intended to post them.

Josh,

You will need a new rear deck cover, the mechanism (with the shade in it), the C pillars with tracks, the harness, the switch, and some free time to install it. Best bet...give Mr Dave Burnette a call and he can get you some quotes on what it will all cost.

Ummm.... Just to let you know... the C-pillars dont have any tracks. lol. I think you would just need the screen mechanism and the decorative part of the rear shelf. You might even have the wiring already.

Sorry...old habits die hard. I work on bmws and mercs....the older ones use tracks in the C pillar.
