FINALLY found it!

Hello all,

Well after months and months of searching with no luck i finally stumbled across an 02 BLK 6sp SE. I traded in my 99 5sp for it and i absolutely love it. Its black with black leather, completely loaded minus butt warmers with 31k miles on it. Initial impressions are pretty positive, the powerband is much stronger than that of the 4th gen , but the 99 feels it had more torque. The car feels more crisp in handling than the 99 and seems to have less body roll. I havent really gotten on it much but from driving it the 2 weeks i've had it i have been really impressed. HIDs are awesome and so is 6th gear. I look forward to being around the 5th gen forum and i'm sure i'll have several questions to help along the modding process. :chuckle: Pics coming soon

Beau D.

How much you get it for?

'02 with 31K on it. Wow, that is a rare find. I must be in really good shape. Congrats.

Thank you. It was a lease return from nissan which requires the maintenance to be done by the book. It was leased by a woman whom took great care of it, its in excellent shape. The dealership paid off the lein from the 99 and gave me 1000 towards the 02, i took it home for around 16,2xx. So far i love it, i reset the ecu and its drove a lot better since.

now you just have to change your car info on your profile

I HIGHLY doubt that!

Congrats on your new car. Blk/blk 6-speed is the only way to go. Does it have HLSD?

boondoxmax 09-12-2005 06:28 AM

congrats. I've love my 6speed also and i agree with aliti19 that i highly doubt your 99 feels torquer because the 3.5 is a tq monster. One thing i notice about the 6sp is the more you drive it the less notcy the shifter feels or maybe iam just getting use to the notcy feeling. And if you have the HLSD thats a sweet bonus, i notice the car pulls hard around corners without the loss of traction/power i would experince with my auto 02

 Good move, watch out for the torque steer. You also now have a much more responsive pedal above 3500 rpm too. Mat the pedal in 2nd or 3rd with the rpms up and you tell me you donl't have more torque.

Nice find! I have a 2000 SE but would have bought a 02 if I had more cash. :(

you're luckyyyyyy! i bet it feels more torquey because the 4th gen was lighter and flywheel weighed about 8 lbs less.

are you planning on modding it??? i bet you love the front wheel gap as much as all of us 5th gens do

you got lucky like i did. my car was a prior lease and only had 35K miles on it :woot:

DesiGLE 09-12-2005 02:33 PM
