Do you think we'd be better off with double overdrive like on the 540i, Vette, M5,

or

single overdrive like on the NSX and the Supra?

I think in the US, double OD is useless cause we can't go over 65mph. If we are in Germany, then we would acutally NEED an additional OD in order to cruise at 130+ mph with reasonable MPG.

I think it would be great if second is lowerd just a bit so it would top out at just over 60mph instead of close to 70.

This is what I want:

1st = leave as is
2nd = 60 mph (current, 68mph)
3rd = 85 mph (current, 95mph)
4th = 115 mph (current, 125mph)
5th = 145 mph (current, 160mph) OD
6th = 190 mph (same as OD on auto)

Oh boy! lower gearing comboed with 260hp and 240+ tq will be awesome.

I'm just wondering how difficult it will be to swap the 3.5 and 6 spd into our cars.

hmm.. why would u wanna do that?? the cost for the swap+labor would be more then if u just traded it in..

I can't wait until that baby comes out! a nice 6 speed at my fingers! right now i regret getting automatic in my car, but who cares it still hauls ***! today I pulled up to a ford ZX-2 and we looked at each other I stepped on it and took off!
