What's the difference between 2K1 and 2K2 SE wheels?
I searched but came up with nothing. I keep reading that they're different, but they look the same to me.
|
one has a center cap and the 02 has the lugs exposed
|
also I think the 00 and 01's have an odd number of spokes, all 5.5 gen's are 6 spoke. I could be wrong though. I don't even bother to look at those lowely 5th gens.
|
both are 17's right?

00-01' 17's I guess have a different spoke design than the 02-03's.
So the 02-03 rims have more clearance from the caliper. Thats why they fit the A34 brakes. |
Ok, well my 2000 SE came with 02 or 03 wheels. Will they clear Z32 brakes?

the actual spoke itself i believe is different, not the # or look, but the curve and shape on the back is not the same.

This is not that difficult, ladies.
A picture is worth a thousand words: Early '00 SE 16's (5-spoke) http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...201_1_full.jpg '00-01 SE 17's (6-spoke) http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...3_269_full.jpg 02-03 SE 17's (6-spoke) http://memimage.cardomain.net/member...2_263_full.jpg |
IS THAT WHAT HE WANTED????????? geez, i wasted my time thinkin everybody else knew what he meant. thanks irish :doublethu
|
irish44j.... You just made a thread go back on topic :rotz:
|
lol, hes the best.
|
Yup, that's exactly what I wanted to know. Funny how I always thought the Maximas I rented in the past had better brakes than my 91 ZTT, yet people upgrade their Maximas to Z32 brakes. I think they suck. Thanks.

|
Yeah, prolly true for the Maxima. But even Zers complain about them.

You're wrong if you think the Z32 rotors are larger... But by now this entire thread has turned :007: and has been since its inception...almost. |

don't make me have to post a rotor/caliper comparison A33 vs. A34...

no, now that you :007:'d, you just suck. good comparison, although i really dont remember bringing up rotor size, and rotor thickness was just a random useless fact.

I'm ripping apart the engine soon and will post plenty of pics and explainations as to why it's burning oil for others. We'll call that my biggest contribution to maxima.org... short of the white V-kneck and umbrella that is (local DC guys understand. The rest of you just forget about it). |
