headlights decision

ok guys, most of you know that I ended up getting some super glue on my driver side headlight, and no luck with taking it off...So I bought another lens from another member...and I should be getting it next week.....
Since i'll have to bake the headlight to change the lens, i've decided to ask you guys to let me know if i should leave them stock or do some mods on it....
there are 3 differ ways that i can go:
1st choice--------Clear out the amber light, here it is how it would look
on a maxima like mine...this is a 02 maxima, and i think a color is slightly differ...(the pics of the maxima with cleared out headlights are nismo0604's)

3rd choice......black out the headlights and clear out the Amber light
(pictures of the car below are Italiano's, I hope he dosent care, I had to use his car as an example, because his car color looks just like mine..)

4th choice....of course is STOCK look, i think that it looks really good...
here is a pic of the headlights on my car, thats how my max..looks like right now...

and i kno my car is dirty lol, its cleaned up right now tho...

maybe the stock look. only because it adds a bit of color to the front end.

I voted to leave it stock...I've never been a huge fan of headlight mods and the max headlights are great IMO.

Why do you wanna do orange?

Maybe I think its a bad idea because personally I dont like orange? If you like orange then by all means go for it...some folks probably yourself included love headlights and headlight mods. They've just never done anything for me.

huso...i am not sending the lens if you don't at least clear it! i considered painting mine black chrome, but it is a lot of taping to get it to look nice. I have the clear lenses if you want me to cut them for you. we can negotiate the price if your into it. pm me when you see the pics of the springs too.

Clearing out the headlamps makes for a very clean look, and painting the surrounds gives a sportier look.

I did both on my I and wouldn't have it any other way.

clearing out the headlights does give the car a more uniform and clean look...that's definitely my favorite mod next to my drop...

I voted to clear the orange lens, but don't paint the headlights. I don't like how the black would look with your car's color...

... HOWEVER... if you are going to clear the orange lens, please please please get yourself some clear sidemarkers. If you're not going to get clear sidemarkers then leave the lens orange.

def get rid of the orange lens. i would say paint them black only if youre goin to go with the 00-01 SE tails to match- but i see by your list of future mods on your cardomain that you plan on goin with 02-03 tails. so id say just clear them out. besides, masking off all that chrome to paint them black was a PIA!

idk bout' 02 03 taillights, i was thinking bout' it long time ago...but dont know what i'll do...
well i came to conclusion....here it is:
I'll clear the amber light out...choice 1.....that way if I do not like it, i can go back to amber or i can paint it black...But if i paint it black, if i do that right now, than iam screwed if i dont like it...no way to get the paint off....
and yes i'll be getting some clear corner lights soon...
thanks guys

Anybody know exactly what I need to search for at Home Depot for the clear lens mod? I can't find anything that comes close either there or on eBay.

Thanks.

like to buy the lens, just go to Home Depot or if you have Menards go to it, and just look in the light section, exterior lights...and its called a
MALIBU 11 watts Sealed Light....you'll see it, and its usually somewhere from $4-5 a piece....10 for a pair...
good luck

if you are keeping the stock grille (black one) or going for black rims like i am, or any black/smoked theme whatsoever, the blacking of your headlights will look good. however i see you have the silver mesh grille, so it would look really bad on your car, in your case i would just clear the orange lens.

Judging by the instructors on Dr. Roy's site it looks like I'm going to need 2 pairs, right? I don't think one of the lenses is big enough for both pieces...
