Clunk Noise when clutch is disengaged and shift into reverse...NORMAL or NOT??

alright guys, im not sure if this has always happened but, after coming to a complete stop i hear a clunk(sometimes feel it) when i disengage the clutch then shift into reverse...is this normal??...im not sure....what could it be??....is it harmful as well?

i have a 2k2 6spd w/ 49500 miles on it...

any input is greatly appreciated..thanks

maybe your idle is too high since you got your 17 degree timing advance, i notice that in the cold when my idle is higher then its harder to get into reverse and sometimes i have to shift it into 1st then to reverse for the shifter to move

I have the same thing going on in mine. I mostly notice it in the mornings when it's cold, but sometimes when it's warm too. When I throw it in reverse it almost sounds like you can hear the gears in the tranny shifting. I didn't really think much of it since my buddy noticed the same thing on his. I guess it's normal...

i dont think its my idle b/c when i had it advanced, the nissan tech readjusted my idle. but thanks anyway. if ur idle runs high, i suggest u get it readjusted. thanks agian tho..

i have the same thing on mine, i'de say 2 of every 5 times i take off in first gear i hear and barley feel a clunk noise. I'm taking the car to the dealer soon so i'll let you know what they say.
