The problem is everywhere that sells it says it's for 96-00 only and I have a 01 motor, I know they won't work on early 95s because of an extra mounting bolt but I don't know the reasoning for the 2001. If someone with an 01 has one then i'm buying one.

That's what I thought as well. But a groupdeal starter told me it doesn't work on an 01. Also there are a few sites that say 96-00
I think the max mods site also used to be 95-2000 but someone might have changed it now.

I'm just going to buy one and hope for the best, but I find it extremely hard to believe that I'm the first person with a 2001 interested in an aftermarket flywheel.

I have a 01 with a Fidanza, and yes it fits just fine. I've had mine for approx 90K miles now, and to the best of my knowledge its not warped as my clutch (exedy racing stg1) feels like stock. I think durring my next clutch job I might put on a new flywheel.

Well the 95 part is right. I tryed to put it on during my 5 speed swap and it wasn't going over the crank shaft smoothly at all. We had to force it up there. So we took that as a sign that its not for my car and put on a stock flywheel.
