Why it's important to periodically check the tightness of certain bolts.

For the last few days, I've been hearing a bit of noise coming from the rear of the car whenever I hit medium to moderate bumps and today I realized why. I had not checked the bolts on my RSB yet this season and it's now obvious as to why you should do this every few months or so. Both sides have shifted, but the driver's side has done so more.

Ya, I need to tighten mine too. And does anyone know if I can tighten the bolts w/o jacking the car up? I mean, we can't jack from the beam anymore due to the RSB.

O/T...but use the jack points on the sides of the car.

Thanks for posting, Tim. This, once again, confirms that Progress RSB simply sucks. :thumbsdow
And that's exactly what I've been saying since I got Progress RSB for myself.

We get what we pay for... :chuckle:

Guys, keep in mind that I'm not knocking the product here, I'm just voicing the importance of making sure that you check any additions made to your car, on a regular basis.

I haven't checked the bolts on my Stillen RSB since I got my safety check at the beginning of the year. I was really good about checking it once a month. I guess I'll check it later in the day.

Also, having the ability to jack the car up from the beam was one of the reasons why I switched to stillen.

I have some intermittant noise coming from my right rear on bumps. My RSB bolts were the first thing I checked...unfortunately they were tight as can be. Guess it's something else...:(

Oh no i hope the noise i've been hearing is that!! i'm going to check as soon as i get home from work tonight. Thankz!
