Re: Changing My Injen's Filter

I need to change my Injen intakes' cone filter, it's been on for a while.

What size and type should I purchase? I want something similar to the Injen factory filter.

Also, what is the best place to purchase filters?

Thanks in advance!

AEM Dryflow part #21-203DK. It's the same shape and size but no oil needed. Filters out more fine particulate than a K&N.

K&N 2820 (or something like that) More surface area than the cone type. I've had mine for almost 2 years and have had no problems or MAF isssues.

Bluesbrekr - Do you remember where you purchased your K&N from?

I don't know about that new AEM Dry Filter. Never heard of a dry filter before.

Is that the model K&N filter you're using Bluesbrekr?

Either go K&N just dont over oil it in fact when you get one wash it because they come over oiled and lightly i mean lightly reoil. Or if you can get one to fit an apex dry filter. They have the best flow and best filter element. ANd you have heard of a dry filter it means they are not oil based like K&N. YOur stock air filter is a dry filter. The big debate is oil based ones blow your MAF. While I have been running one as have many others for a long time in their car with no problems. Some claim they ruin your MAF. I think this is due to people over oiling there's and blowing the MAF. If you go the K&N way like me just make sure to mantience your MAF every so often with some CRC MAF cleaner and you will be good.

I get my filters directly from K&N. Last time I got a RC3870 cone filter for my Berk intake it was $40 shipped.
