My OEM just died in July after 4 years of faithful service.

I bought a 625 (rated 800cca) Energizer from Peppy BOys, and it starts like a champ! Paid like $70 out the door.

Word of advice when buying batteries: ALWAYS have the seller TEST the battery BEFORE you leave the store. I went thru THREE (yes, count 'em!) THREE batteries that all failed the initial test phase before they found a good one....and that was off the shelf.

A simple bench test and charge cycle will ensure that you have a good and fully charged battery.

Another one for Autozone, I've been using my stock 2000SE, until yesterday when it finally died. I've been having issues w/ it for the last month, kept putting it off, and finally yesterday, placed her w/ an autozone battery. 80 bucks for the Duralast gold.

Exide Orbital Purple Haze Deep Cycle. I previously had a Yellow top. Both solid batteries if you have a system.

+1 :) Honestly, you would think that it would've been something more dangerous, like a croc biting off his leg, or a snake bite...

I think my Max has an Interstate battery that was in the car when I bought it 7 months ago... I would go with anything that meets or exceeds OEM specs, unless you have a multi-kilowatt stereo. And Metal, I like your battery terminals...

Optima Red, unless you need more out of your battery, then go Yellow.

Get a friend to get you a fat discount, as they are not cheap

Optima red top FTW because it looks cool.:chuckle:

In the latest Consumer Reports, Duralast (Autozone) and Interstate rated very high. For two consecutive years before that, Advanced Auto's line of batteries were always in the top 3...no mention of them this year.
