what if my oil catch can doesn't have any oil in it?

There was some in it when I bought it from the guy, but now it doesn't have any oil. I know I am even overdue for an oil change too.

aw89maxSE Oct 29, 2006 07:33 PM

not sure, but it came with the car from the owned who i bought it from. It was very nicely done though. The catch can is a plastic tube with a nipple on the bottom

not totally sure...but i remember reading somewhere, rough idle?

aw89maxSE Oct 30, 2006 12:02 PM

I can attest to that

MaxKlinger Oct 30, 2006 06:28 PM

PCV Valves are inexpensive, you can usually pick one up for less than $6. Before you do that, give the valve a quick shot of gumout, that'll usually loosen up any of the crap in it.

Don't want to hihack the thread, but what does this catch can do? And can it be done with a VQ30, and how? (write-up)

aw89maxSE Oct 30, 2006 08:16 PM

ok, I was reading through the FAQ'a and came across a couple pictures of where it is, but I can't see it very well. Anyone have any pix showing where exactly it is and hot to replace it? I know it only takes few mins, I just want to be precise
