He has a Audi TT Quattro w/225 Hp 6speed. He claims that he can run 6 second 0-60's. I was like right, whatever. Anyway we decided to race on a empty road a little longer than a 1/4 mile. We raced 3 times. The first being not so good because I spun out. The second I won by a carlength. The third race, we were even. The Audi always jumped ahead at the line but I would start pulling him in starting towards the end of second gear.

Anybody know what the actual performance numbers are on the TT?

Yep....sounds about right. Check out www.edmunds.com They say for 40K it should have better performance than high 6's/15ish 1/4 mile. Thats EXACTLY what a 5sp 2k will do.....but for about 20k less. :D

my friend has an audi tt convertible. yeah, straight line performance might not be as good as it should be, but the handling abilities of the car is incredible. those cars can corner. if you guys got in a street race with traffic, he will probably beat you, but not to far behind. those cars are nice as hell, they feel like a true sports car when you drive it.

my friends dad has a tt non-quattro 180hp coupe and i raced him when i had my subs and a full tank of gas and my friend in my car and he was by himself...i started behind him at a light so i couldn't launch, but lets just say from 40 (when i switched lanes) upto about 80, i got a few cars ahead of him...tt's are underpowered but have a lot of cool gadgets and handle very well
