i know i saw a thread awhile back about peeling some type of material away from the little LCD, so that the light appears to be a bluish/greenish color, CANT SEEM TO FIND IT NOW....but to do that would be the only reason i take out that clock

It's red wrapping paper or seran wrap over the clock. I wanted to try this myself then thought...it wouldn't match the rest of the interior other than my white courtesy lights.

Wrap a flat head screw driver with a small rag and "pop" out the clock.
Simple as that.

There is also a wire to cut so that it does not dim when you put your parking lights on. I suggest cutting it, because with the red cellophane, it is not as bright anymore.
