Yup. Roll your own. Find a muffler shop with a good reputation and start by removing your resonator. If that's not enough, audition some mufflers. Borla makes good mufflers, but so do DynoMax, Magnaflow and Flowmaster. Make sure your muffler shop will let you audition a variety of mufflers ON YOUR CAR before you buy.

Personally I like FLOWMASTERS.

They flow and produce soundlevels according to which model series you choose. Just look at their comparison charts on what sound your looking for(mellow/powerful/aggressive). Also, they are 100% metal(no filling material), so they don't get louder as they get older, however I've heard they rust through in coastal and snowy areas. They are around $90 in the Summit catalog.

I also like both Magnaflow and DynoMax mufflers. I've owned both brands. BTW, if you're looking for performance, the DynoMax UltraFlo muffler has excellent scavenging characteristics. Check out:

Once again, I'd recommend you try before you buy. The only way to do that is to find a muffler shop that carries all the muffler brands you're interested in auditioning.
