After bolting up the stock y-pipe back on, my car feels stronger for some odd reason... low-end torque picked up immensely, top-end dropped a little though...anyone else experienced this?
I think the stillen y-pipe was just a mind-trick... it makes your car louder, therefore seem faster, but, only faster at high-rpms?!

It's late...

there are people that ran stock 14.8, but with intake a y pipe ran 14.3... so... cant be all intake can it?

:gotme: when I went to the Cattman Y-pipe, I didn't notice any difference in low-end power.... I haven't gone back to stock, but :gotme:

I noticed no difference really in low end torque - but a big increase in the high end. That was with both y and SI. My dyno results confirmed that but then I haven't had much success with dyno results lately! LOL.

well....dynos don't lie!!

y-pipe make you lose little bit in the low end and gains on the top end...but then that's almost the same story with the intake, and exhaust...you're not really gaining 'extra' horsepower...think of it as an relocation of your ponies from bottom to top...:D
unless you have midgets just like Kev's car...
