does anyone know how much h3 hid's are??
what brands are available???
i am planning to get my stock fog lights to be hid's to match my 2002 hid's

There is currently no H3 HIDs available, but supposedly there are some H3c HIDs in the works. I'm not sure if they are compatible or not, but they are around $650 according to Hogan(yo_its_ok).

Hogan modified some H4s to fit into the H3 housing, so it's possible to make your own. Also, PIAA and some other companies make HID fog lamps, but they're pretty expensive.

Yeah, I plan on doing the mod. I cant stand the fact that no H3 bulb puts out the color of a larger bulb like a 9005 or H4 or H7. Must be something to do with the fact that the bulb is too small.

I have tried like 7 different H3 brands, nothing. When I found that Hogan said that you could put a H4 in there, I said to my self "Hell YEAH"

Time to Ghetto rig something else. Aint nothing like ghetto riggin'

Yeah but for some reason I dont believe in puttin HIDs in a fog light assembly. Seems like a waste to me. It is already low and the aim is damn near to the ground, if I did put HIDs in there, it would only light up more of the front area. I want DISTANCE viewing.

But then again give me a day or two with this assembly once i rip it out, i will Ghetto rig something in there. :)

What about buying some good looking cheap foglight kit, so you can ghetto-rig some Panasonic H4s HIDs into the housing. I know there are some cheaper HID kits available, but I think the Pansasonics are the best thing priced around $450.

I wish the PIAA HID fog lamps weren't so DAMN expensive. I bet those would light up some $HIT.

Man Ghetto riggin a whole new fog light assembly in that HOLE we got is kinda tough. It will never look right.

did u guys solve the relays problem with the 2k2 HID's?

What relay problem? I haven't installed mine yet, but serin did and he didn't say anything was up.

I'm going to uninstall everything to go the the dealer for the ECU TSB. Then when I reinstall them with the 2K2 clips, I will install them with the relays and some BAD A$$ fuse blocks I found from Painless Performance.

BigDog have you tried the Raybrig Magnum Whites? These things look hardcore.

No. I was thinking leave the stock fogs alone and mount the ghetto HID fogs in the bumper "mouth"(hole underneath the grill). It would give them a little more height and might be easier to install.

asked kennedy at premier autoworks about h3 hids. apparently phillips makes a set in h3 for $700. too rich for my blood. for that amount, might as well just buy a set of piaa 1100s.

Never tried these bulbs. How much? I aint paying more than $40 tops.
Yeah I am a cheap bastard on bulbs, too many have blown out and cant justify spending more than that when there is a possibility the bulbs can blow out a week after i installed them

LOL, you cheap bastard! You're outta luck, the bulbs go for $80...the lowest I've found them for.

But AreX was supposed to gimme a good price..where is this guy?

About Hogan's HIDs: Let's say it's a dark night and you happen to drive into a tunnel with little lighting. And then if Hogan were to drive into the tunnel on the opposite end with all his HIDs on, it would make you feel like you're dying...

My Raybrig HID and Ichikoh HID almost match, just the H3 HID kit seems brighter cause of the reflector. Color is hard to tell w/o getting Tunnel Vision.

Getting the H4s to fit in the housing was a b!tch to say the least. Becareful when putting the HID Burner in there, cause the ceramic resistor on the bottom will crack and break if you are not careful. The opening for the HID burner is limited since the H3 bulb itself is so small, and that you will have play when attempting to put in the HID burner. I destroyed 3 H4 HID Burners on one side before I got it right. I've never heard of Philips making an H3, maybe H1 or H7 but not an H3. I do have a set of Hella DE Projectors w/ H1 HID system, I had them on my car during fall and winter, and that is the ultimate fog lamp set up, they were brighter, more focused, and had longer spread pattern than my Philips HID Headlamps.
Raybrig, PIAA, and even APC(Yes, APC) HID Foglights all suck balls.
They go from Blue to Yellow to yellow-white. The only one that looked good was the Hyper Blue coating and Ion Crystal coating on the Raybrig HID Fog Lights. Blue, and Yellow respectively. The clear lensed ones had a yellow-white look to it. Beyond that I'd settle on PIAA or Raybrig Fog Lamps.

-Save your money on the HIDs.

So the Ichikoh H3C HIDs are the ones you expect to be around $650?

What does the "C" mean? How much modification to fit in the stock H3 fog lamp housing? What is the color of these compared to the 2K2 HIDs?
