Nope... did your customer get his tranny parts updated yet or is it still slipping?

WANNARUN Oct 17, 2001 01:15 PM

I'm currently selling the headrest LCD's for $200 installed + shipping.
Send me your headrest and I'll send it back installed.
I also have screens with remote control on screen display for $300 each installed + shipping.
If you live near Phila I can arrange pickup.

WANNARUN Oct 17, 2001 01:19 PM

He is still slipping, he beats on that thing too bad.
He wants to swap it out for a 5 speed.

BigDogJonx Oct 17, 2001 01:22 PM

Son of a......... I was going to do this next month and you beat me to it.......

Nice setup. Now you say it is $200 + shipping to install the screens, what kinda of screens are they? Are they clear compared to a Alpine screen?

Dixit

WANNARUN Oct 17, 2001 01:33 PM

They are 185,000 pixels which is about average, the ones for $300 are 245,000 pixels and are a little better than the Alpine (225,000).
They also have remote control on screen programming.
I also have 7" widescreens for $499 that have 289,000 pixels, 16.9 format (great for DVD).
I am also making a custom housing to put these on the dash just in front of our clocks so it will flip down (face down) out of sight.

Pic's to follow

isn't there a concern about the hot sun beating down on it on sunny days?

WANNARUN Oct 17, 2001 01:44 PM

Have you ever felt how hot LCD's get when in use?
The sun won't affect it. Unless maybe if you live in Arizona. lol
I always use a sunshade anyway, plus my tint comes down pretty low in the front.

AudioMan Oct 17, 2001 01:47 PM

LCD Screens

Have you watched any dirty movies on them at night while driving? Any good looks from other drivers?:D

Before I did the headrests and just had the front screen my friend popped in a DVD porn while we were on the highway during dusk. A lady was honking her horn and yelling at us. She was ****ed.
As she drove by we saw she had like 10 Jesus bumper stickers. lol

jefferdy1 Oct 17, 2001 06:33 PM

Do you have to be a head unit too or can you hook the screens into the bose unit from Nissan?

2001SE Oct 17, 2001 07:07 PM

How all of them connected to show the same picture at the same time? i mean you said you want the headrest in order to install them so how do we connect it when we get it back from you?

Cisco Oct 17, 2001 09:39 PM

Is there a way to install a TV in the passenger sun visor and route the sound to come through the Bose speakers? Would you be capable of doing this and how much would something like this cost?

First off you need a video source.
I use a PS2.
You can use a PS1, a mobile DVD player, or even a home DVD player.
In order to power up these devices you will need to purchase a DC-AC converter ($40)
All you need to do is take the Video output and run it to the LCD screen (VIA RCA Jack).
Then take the Audio output of whatever you are using and run it to an FM Modulator ($30)- device that turns an audio signal into FM Frequency as used in many add on CD changers.
Then you use FM station 88.7 or 88.9 (depending on the modulator) to listen to the audio.
If you have the CD changer that works with the Bose system you can use an audio switcher and tie the audio into the bus cable.
This would be the cleanest way and give you the best sound.

I'm interestred is these screens. I already have a Clarion 7 inch widescreen and a dvd/mp3 player. Would you be interested in just sending the screens, i have a friend who did my current setup and i would like him to do the work. Thanks.

WANNARUN Oct 18, 2001 06:35 AM

Sure I can just send them to you.
How would you like to arrange payment?

maxse01 Oct 18, 2001 06:44 AM

What's included with the screens? (wires, connectors, etc) Do they have any marks or scratches on them? I live close enough to philly to drive down and pick them up. Thanks

WANNARUN Oct 18, 2001 06:48 AM

No scratches, I'm not selling mine I'm selling brand new ones.
They come with a sandwich type plastic shroud making headrest install a snap (I did mine in 10 minutes). They have a very nice RCA style 12v & ground connector.

Cisco...didn't I talk to you in the Plymouth Meeting mall parking lot?
Anyway.....Puting these screens in a visor would be a tight squeeze and require some custom upholstry work. probably about $30-$50 more.

maxse01 Oct 18, 2001 07:08 AM

Would you be interested in 200 cash and have me come pick them up? Thanks

WANNARUN Oct 18, 2001 07:16 AM

That is fine. $200 each.
Where are you coming from?
