"TCS" and "SLIP" light won't go off ...please help!

Just about 1 hour ago, right after I shopped at walmart for about 45 mins, I started the car, the "TCS" and "SLIP" light stay on and don't go off. Even I press the "TCS" button and stop the engine for couple times, the light still on.

Do you guys have any idea on this??? What should I do??
My god... this car seems to have so many problems... any idea on how can I fix it?? anyone here experienced this?

One thing I have to mention is the "service engine light" is on since a month ago and I just took my car to Auto Part to have them to scan the code, and they found out the code is (0....)forgot, they told me the code is the ignition coils misfire, is the ignition coils possible to make the "TCS" and "SLIP" light on??

Thank you very much!!!

Ryan

Dear soonerfan,

Thanks for posting the link for the manual!

from the owner manual:

"The traction control system indicator light may
come on for the following reasons.
a) If the system is turned off by pressing
the button on the instrument panel, the
indicator light will come on and stay on.
To turn the system back on, press the
button again. The indicator light will go
off.
b) If engine speed is above 4,000 rpm in a
selected gear. Use D range on low friction
road surfaces.
If the traction control system indicator light
comes on and stays on for an extended period
of time when the system is turned on, have
your vehicle checked by your NISSAN dealer."

so should I just take it to the dealer to have them to check?? it didn't say what make it on all the sudden...

When you started the car was it a very rough start? I seem to remeber my 2000 I30 doing this when the coils went bad. Then after a few days the TCS and Slip lights went off. Can others confirm this from their memory?

Ryanpa, check the threats on bad ignition coils, you will find that this may be your problem; it happened to me a few months ago, It also helps if you remember the codes that you got, it probably will tell you which cylinder(s) is/are failing. Just do a little more research there is plenty of info about this. After you change the coils make sure to errase the codes and the TCS and Slip light should go off.

maybe a bad abs sensor is your abs light on to?to get the code checked you need to go to nissan to have them check it. If your abs light isnt on then its the coils
