'03 stock stereo won't power on??
 

I have an '03 with the stock bose stereo. i have had problems with the classic left speaker loss when playing a CD, but now the stereo will not power on at all. I checked the fuses, which are fine- but i'm at a loss as to how to proceed. Is there any other troubleshooting I can do on my own, or does the deck have to be taken out and brought somewhere for repair and if so can any stereo place help or is that a dealer repair and is it even worth the money at that point. I was completely happy with the stock system, but if i need to replace it, I would probably put in a touch screen DVD/nav. system. I commute 100miles a day, and not having a stereo is not helping the commute at all. Any advice??

the repair is pricey, most people o frftermarket unit, especially sionce youheadunit for a better pre the HU is grounded well too. Hope this helps.
