What is the year and mileage on your Max?

I have a 2001 SE and just hit 189K so with proper maintenance you should easily get 200K. Mine has been trouble free with the exception of a Wisconsin winter killing the original radiator.

2001 Max SE 237,000 miles
5-speed manual trans stock - San Diego. Engine runs strong, still using Mobile 1 synthetic oil, replaced original clutch at 230,000 and along the way, typical replacements for a 16.5 year old car w/this many miles - e. g., starter, radiator, alternator, engine mounts, disks/pads, catalytic converters (Cali-standards) once at about 140,000, struts and shocks at 200,000, etc. Maybe best Max engine and power-to-weight ratio ever.

2001 25th Anniversary Edition 311,000 miles
We bought the car in ‘03 with 117,000 miles on it. I asked my mechanic at the time if I should be worried about the high mileage. He said the car had a great reputation and would last a long time. He was right! Parts replaced: radiator, starter, alternator, power steering line, valve cover gaskets.

AT-205 stop leak if it's not pouring out.

the rear main seals are not terrible to do in these cars. Only the cross member comes out to remove the trans but I don't blame you. Mine was done at 260k when the previous owner replaced the clutch, but now the trans is a lil noisy in first gear cause the guy put a racing lightweight flywheel in that was not recommended for street use, only way to fix it is to remove the trans and put a factory flywheel in but f#ck that. Just turn the radio up lol

Front A pillar molding
46k miles - very windy out the other day and the black molding on the from passenger side A pillar broke free and started flapping. Pulled over and couldn’t get it back on, noticed tabs busted off so I pulled it all off. It got crazy loud in the cockpit the rest of the way home. I need to order a new one
sorry I cannot read, my car is 2017

My first Max, 2000 GLE had over 400k before I lost track of it. I gave it away at 250k to my friend. He drove it for 50+k then gave it to his son. His son had for 6+ years before I quit seeing him around. Absolutely nothing other than routine stuff. No one ever had to change exhaust, seals, or anything. I didn't even change a light bulb in it until 150k. Best car I have even been priviledged enough to see operate.
My current 01 5 speed has 161k.

Have an 2003 Max GLE that I bought new, Has 147,000 miles on the car. The major maintenance that's been done in order, front struts, oil pan change out, new radiator, new alternator, new AC compressor, new plugs and rocker cover oil leak fix, new power steering hose. So other than changing oil every 3000 miles, and transmission fluid swap every two years, belts and hoses about every 4-5 years, tires and brakes pads as needed, that's it. Still has plenty of power and ride is great. Hope to keep another two years. Is worth more to me than the blue book value says. Cost to keep this car up per year averaged $800, not counting oil changes. I don't do any of the maintenance myself.

2001 GLE /w 205,000 KM. Replaced: MAF, alternator, starter, radiator, 1 bad ignition coil, struts, and resoldered a bad solder joint in the DRL module. Might be time to get the valve cover gaskets replaced since they are starting to leak.
